Notice to authors
The Editors wish to encourage a range of colleagues to consider publishing in Teaching Mathematics and Its Applications. We welcome manuscripts from those whose background is education or mathematics education, who may choose to submit work that is more theoretically-based. We also welcome those who are mathematicians or statisticians who may choose to submit work that is more empirical (but none the less, academically rigorous). Of course, we are also happy to receive empirical submissions from educationalists and theory-based work from mathematicians. We invite submissions on any topics related to the teaching of mathematics and its applications in higher education or upper secondary level. At present we would specifically welcome articles on:
- methods of assessment – particularly methods that are not a closed-book time-limited examination
- transition from secondary to higher education (read the recent special issue)
