Abstract
Remission of diabetes mellitus is described in 3 young adult Nigerians. The glucose tolerance test after prednisone in the two with the longest periods of remission indicated a prediabetic state. Prolonged remission in young Nigerian diabetic patients can occur on a low calorie diet, in spite of previous ketosis and need for insulin.
