Objective: The Wechsler Memory Scale--Fourth Edition (WMS-IV) as well as the Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT) have been implicated in identifying functional cognitive deficits associated with seizure lateralization in localization-related temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). This study evaluated the RAVLT, WMS-IV, Boston Naming Test (BNT), and the Word Memory Test FR (WMT-FR) to predict pre-operative localization in patients with TLE. Method: Data of 44 participants with left TLE (LTLE) and 36 with right TLE (RTLE) were included in analyses. Analyses of variance were conducted comparing left TLE to right TLE. Logistical regression was performed to evaluate the predictive factors of the memory assessments. Results: Results found no difference between TLE groups in age (LTLE = 38, RTLE = 43), years of education (LTLE = 12.93; RTLE = 13.56), or ethnicity (p < 0.5)....
