Objective: Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE) is the leading cause of refractory seizures in adults. Stereotactic laser ablation (SLA) has gained popularity as a minimally invasive treatment option. The cognitive profile of TLE patients considered for SLA varies significantly. This study examines the volumes of temporal lobe structures and neuropsychological performance in this cohort. Method: Participants completed pre-surgical evaluations for SLA at the University Of Miami. Volumetric analyses were completed by the neurosurgeon utilizing manual tracing. Of 19 patients, 15 had MTS (left = 7, right = 8), fMRI/WADA language dominance (left = 17, right = 1, bilateral = 1).
