Objective: The Auditory Verbal Learning Test (AVLT) is a widely used procedure in memory assessment. Due to verbal information the test is language specific and therefore using it in neuropsychological assessment requires local norms to evaluate the performance. This study presents normative data of Estonian version of AVLT and analyses the influence of demographic variables to the test scores. Method: The sample includes 398 subjects (210 women, 188 men) with mean age of 51.7 years (range 19-93) and mean education of 13.7 school years (range 5-24 years). All subjects were healthy with no reported neurologic or psychiatric complications. The AVLT includes a list of 15 words that is read to the subject for learning for 5 trials.
