This new feature serves as a preliminary guide to freely accessible online collections of primary sources. The sites identified here draw on the expertise of AHR staff and the Board of Editors, but we also solicited submissions from a small group of readers to test a larger crowdsourcing initiative that will drive the list of archives in the future. We intend to add to this section with each issue, with the complete list to be available online at historians.org/digital-primary-sources. Readers are encouraged to use the form available there to submit their own favorite primary-source archival collections.
