Foreword

ASHP and the ASHP Foundation (“the Foundation”) present this 10th edition of the annual Pharmacy Forecast and are pleased to disseminate it through AJHP, providing readers with easy access to the report. The ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Forecast has a long tradition of providing insightful perspective on internal and external factors that influence patient care, the health of populations, and our profession.

The Pharmacy Forecast is a product of efforts from many individuals. Founding editor William Zellmer initiated the project and then guided the report through the first 4 editions. The Pharmacy Forecast could not continue without the contributions of members of the Forecast 2022 Advisory Committee, Forecast Panelists who responded to the survey, and the chapter authors. ASHP and the ASHP Foundation are indebted to those individuals who have helped make the 2022 edition a success.
