It is a tremendous honor for me to be selected to provide the John Webb Lecture this year. There is nothing better than being recognized by your peers, for which I am truly appreciative. I want to especially thank all of my friends, colleagues, and former residents who supported my nomination. In addition, my sincere appreciation to the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders and the John W. Webb Lecture Award selection committee for choosing me when I know there are so many other great pharmacy leaders who also deserve to be recognized for their contributions to the profession. Knowing this makes the award that much more special to me.

Thanks also to Dr. Tatiana Bronich, dean of Northeastern’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, for hosting today’s event. Thanks to my friends in Boston, Bill Churchill, Chris Fortier, John Fanikos, and Ross Thompson, for being such great colleagues. I have greatly enjoyed the times we have had together.
