The thermal environment affects the rate and efficiency of animal production. Livestock producers can enhance performance levels during exposure to adverse temperatures by using various environmental modifications and management techniques. The extent of imposed modifications is usually based on economical considerations, which do not necessarily ensure maximum animal response.
