Abstract

Continued botanical exploration in northern South America has yielded material necessitating description of two new taxa of Niphogeton and revision of the descriptions of two others; illustrations supplement the descriptions. A new key to the species of the genus as now augmented is offered to replace that published 25 years ago. The taxonomic implications for this genus of Cerceau-Larrival's studies of seedlings and pollen of Umbelliferae are discussed.
