Ben Anderson is Senior Lecturer in Environmental History at Keele University. His work revolves around the interaction between people and their environments in the modern era, with a particular focus on outdoors leisure, embodied environmentalism, and post-industrial heritage in Europe. His recent research includes finding co-creative ways to express the memories and meanings of carbon infrastructure, and histories of commons and trespass in the early 20th century.
Kristin Bluemel is Professor of English and Wayne D. McMurray Endowed Chair in the Humanities at Monmouth University. In 2022 she served as Leverhulme Visiting Professor at Newcastle University. In addition to publishing on modernist and intermodernist writers and artists, she has edited Rural Modernity in Britain: A Critical Intervention, with Michael McCluskey (Edinburgh University Press, 2018), and Intermodernism: Literary Culture in Mid-Twentieth-Century Britain (Edinburgh University Press, 2009). Her work in progress is Enchanted Wood: Women Artists, Rural Britain, and the Twentieth-Century Wood Engraving Revival (Minnesota University Press, forthcoming).
