Abstract
This chapter discusses the concepts of spiritual seeking, Therapeutic culture, and concern for others among the participants of the study presented here. It analyses the links between different types of narcissism or self-investment and spiritual seeking among the participants of the study, using ratings of narcissism from early adulthood, psychotherapy in middle adulthood, and spiritual seeking in late adulthood. The analyses find remarkable findings that underscore the need for a nuanced understanding of the links between narcissism, psychotherapy, and spiritual seeking. It indicates that the individuals in the study who scored high on hypersensitive narcissism in early adulthood were likely to seek psychotherapy in middle age. It also indicates that psychotherapy in middle adulthood was positively related to spiritual seeking in late adulthood. Although the data show a link between hypersensitive narcissism and psychotherapy, and a link between psychotherapy and spiritual seeking, there is no association between hypersensitive narcissism and spiritual seeking.
