About the Journal
Chemical Senses publishes original research and review papers on all aspects of chemoreception in both humans and animals. An important part of the journal's coverage is devoted to techniques and the development and application of new methods for investigating chemoreception and chemosensory structures.
Continuous Publication Model
Chemical Senses uses a continuous publication model. This means that articles are published online as soon as they have completed the production process, meaning researchers can access and cite the content faster than ever.
For authors
This means corrected proofs are immediately published into the issue with no more waiting in an Advance Access list. This also means that article indexing information is sent to abstracting and indexing databases on first publication and when the issue closes at the end of the year.
For readers
This means a simpler reading experience for you. All articles are available in one version, one location, and citable in one way.
Want to make sure you never miss the latest content?
To ensure you are notified periodically as more content is published to the in-progress issue, follow the below steps:
- Either sign into your Oxford Academic account or if you don't have an account, it's easy to create a new account.
- Go to 'Email alerts' via either:
- your account landing page – the dropdown from your account name (at the top right of the screen) has an ‘Alerts’ option
- any OUP journal homepage – the 'Alerts' link is located on the top horizontal navigation bar or in the 'About' dropdown
- You will see options for 'New issue alerts', 'In progress issue alerts', and 'Advance article alerts'.
- Under the 'In progress issue alerts,' click 'Add alerts,' scroll to 'Journal of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology' and select, then you can specify how frequently you want to be notified (Daily, Weekly, Twice Monthly, Monthly). Confirm your choice in the popup panel by clicking 'Add alerts' again.
