Professor Moshe Hirsch, the Maria Von Hofmannsthal Chair in International Law at the Law Faculty and Department of International Relations of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in this book presents a clear doctrinal narrative on the sociological study of international law. This book, based on the author’s multidisciplinary research started in early 2000 endeavoring to compare rational choice and sociological analyses of social phenomena. In 2012, the author decided to publish the outcome of his research as a book and received the Maria Von Hofmannsthal Fund to support it. Some of the research work published in this book draws from the author’s previous publications.
