ABSTRACT
Oxandrolone, an analog of 17α-methyldihydrotestosterone in which the number 2 carbon atom of the phenanthrene nucleus has been replaced by an oxygen atom, has been shown in human subjects to possess approximately 6 times the anabolic potency of methyltestosterone.
