Abstract

Eight submarines were treated with dichlorvos aerosol 6.5% at the rate of 12 oz/10,000 ft3 and three of these with 2% propoxur bait to control Blattella germanica(L.). Better than 97% control was obtained initially after using dichlorvos in all treatments. Propoxur 2% bait was used to control nymphs which hatch from eggs not affected by dichlorvos. Air samples were taken aboard 3 submarines to determine concentration of dichlorvos in air within the submarines prior to and after ventilation.
