Previously known as the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science is a cross-disciplinary, multi-institutional organization founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), which aims to consolidate the existing research strength of CAS laboratories via the formational of collaborative research teams.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the linchpin of China's drive to explore and harness high technology and the natural sciences for the benefit of China and the world. CAS brings together scientists and engineers from China and around the world to address both theoretical and applied problems using world-class scientific and management approaches.
The Chinese Society for Cell Biology (CSCB) is one of the leading scientific organizations in China. The society is dedicated to facilitating learning and innovation through conferences and journals, promoting research collaboration, providing training opportunities to students and young scientists, and educating the general public in cell biology and biomedicine.
