It contains peer-reviewed, evidence-based cancer information summaries on treatment, supportive care, screening, prevention, genetics, and complementary and alternative medicine. The summaries are regularly updated by six editorial boards. The following PDQ summaries were recently updated:

The Childhood Hodgkin Lymphoma Treatment summary recently added Nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma as a new section. The Breast Cancer Prevention summary recently added Estrogen-only use among women with a hysterectomy as a new sub-section in the Overview section. This section states, that based on fair evidence, estrogen-only use after menopause among women with a hysterectomy is associated with a decreased risk of breast cancer incidence and mortality. The Colorecatal Cancer Prevention summary recently added Hormone therapy (estrogen plus progestin) as a new sub-section in the Overview section. This section states, that based on solid evidence, combined hormone therapy (conjugated equine estrogen and progestin) decreases the incidence of invasive CRC, and based on fair evidence, combination conjugated equine estrogen and progestin has little or no benefit in reducing mortality from CRC.
