Abstract
“Atypical” and immature cells are frequent in the blood of patients with cancer. This conclusion is based on the examination of the blood from 525 subjects with cancer and from 132 subjects without cancer. Many cells are difficult to differentiate from tumor cells. Representative cells are illustrated, and their distribution and some of their morphological features are discussed.
