Summary

Apparently immature peripheral white blood cells from a patient with chronic myelogenous leukemia were found capable of maturation, but some of the myeloblasts were arrested in either the S or G2 period for the duration of the culture period of up to 4 days. Apparently immature, tritiated thymidine-labeled myeloblasts were also found capable of phagocytosis in vitro.
