Summary
C3H mice bearing the 6C3HED lymphoma manifested complete regression of the tumor after the intraperitoneal administration of a single dose of purified l-asparaginase from Serratia marcescens. The blood clearance rate of this enzyme was delayed in these animals as it was in normal mice inoculated with the lactic dehydrogenase virus. Similar observations were made concurrently on Escherichia coli L-asparaginase which was less inhibitory to tumor growth than the enzyme from S. marcescens.
