Summary
The methods for maintaining an erythroblastic leukemia (EBl) by transplantation of erythroblastic leukemia cells from the liver of an animal with a 7,8,12- trimethylbenz[a]anthracene (TMBA)-induced leukemia into 1- to 5-day-old rat pups were presented. The transplanted leukemia was rapidly induced (<18 days), and had a >98% transmission rate. These EBL cells should become a useful system for studies of cellular maturation and neoplastic transformation.
