Summary
Growth of hamster-embryo fibroblast cells in medium supplemented with the.mannose and glucose analogue 2-deoxy-D-glucose (dglc) resulted in a simultaneous increase in concanavalin A agglutinability and in altered membrane glycoproteins. Both effects were reversed by subsequent growth in medium free of dglc.
