Abstract
Tumor IgM was estimated in 15 mice with 1, 2, and 4 sites of subcutaneously implanted tumor to quantitate the in vivo cellular immunosynthetic functions and the number of tumor cells in each mouse. There was a good correlation between tumor size, tumor cell number calculated by IgM measurements, and the estimated tumor cells based on tumor weight. These measurements estimated the size of disseminated and localized tumors with levels of serum tumor IgM.
