Summary
An in vitro micromethod based on respiration activity (decoloration of 2,6-dichlorophenol-indophenol. sodium) of cells was developed for screening cytotoxic or antitumor agents. Since this method requires only a small amount of cells, it is sensitive and rapid. It gives results that correlate well with other in vitro results.
