Alterations in Membrane Structure and Function Associated With Neoplastic Transformation In Vitro

Summary

Selected alterations in membrane structure associated with in vitro transformation appear amenable to rapid assay procedures. Most reported alterations, however, lack the specificity required for meaningful testing. These membrane changes are discussed in regard to specificity of transforming systems, cell types, and origin.
