▪ Robert Figlin, M.D., F.A.C.P., was named chair of the division of medical oncology and experimental therapeutics, the Arthur and Rosalie Kaplan professor of medical oncology, and the associate director for clinical research at City of Hope in Duarte, Calif. Figlin currently works at UCLA.

▪ Craig B. Thompson, M.D., was named director of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Thompson joined the university in 1999.

▪ Christine Rizk, M.D., and Shaneli Fernando, M.D., joined the breast cancer program at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.

▪ Ian W. Flinn, M.D., Ph.D., was named principal investigator at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville.

▪ Dennis Dowdell, Jr., J.D., was named vice president of human resources at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He previously worked at the Executive Leadership Council in Washington, D.C.

▪ Dan R. Littman, M.D., Ph.D., was appointed a member of the immunology program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He previously worked at New York University.
