To both acknowledge institutional and global dynamics that might disadvantage some scholars and encourage those from under-represented parts of the world to contribute to the security conversation, JoGSS is launching a “pre-submission exchange.” Members of the editorial team will offer two rounds of limited feedback to authors based or trained in institutions typically underrepresented in mainstream international relations journals.

Launched in 2022, the JoGSS Best Article Award honours outstanding rigorous, original and significant contributions to the field of global security studies.
