Schema.org markup

All Oxford Journals articles contain structured data embedded in the HTML pages, to make it easier for users to find content via web searches and services, by helping search engines and digital assistants (like Siri, Cortana, Alexa and Google Now) understand what the content is about.

The markup is encoded in the W3C standard JSON-LD using schema.org vocabulary. We provide information using the ScholarlyArticle schema about an article’s DOI-based URL, title, author(s) and their affiliations, keywords, abstract or other description, and bibliographic information such as the name of the journal the article’s in, issue, volume, ISSN, publication date, page numbers, copyright holder and publisher.
