Still potentially five months to go until the General Election, and it seems so much longer than five years since the last one. A change of Prime Minister, a change of Speaker and soon a change—we assume—of many MPs. When the General Election special issue appears in October, it will mark five years since we were putting the finishing touches to our first issue as editors. In that editorial we set out what we wanted Parliamentary Affairs to look like as a journal: what we could not have anticipated was the line our editorials would take over the next few years.
