Publishing with PCP: Author Benefits
Plant & Cell Physiology (PCP) offers one of the best publishing experiences. The advantages include:
1. Established Society Journal with Academic Editors
PCP was established in 1959 as the official journal of the JSPP. PCP boasts an international editorial board of 76 scientists and welcomes submissions from JSPP members and non-members alike.
2. Rapid Review and Publication
On average, it takes 28 days to reach a first decision for Regular Papers. In addition, ‘Rapid Papers’, which present findings of exceptional interest and scientific importance are fast-tracked through the peer-review process (15 days to first decision) and guaranteed publication in the next issue. Rapid Papers are also freely available without subscription for the first 3 months. Further details can be found in the ITA.
3. No Colour/Figure Charges
Authors do not incur charges for figure colour or black and white reproduction.
4. Low Publication Fees
Authors pay a discretionary one-off publication fee for accepted manuscripts; discounted rates apply for JSPP members. For more info, please see ITA.
5. Open Access Options Available
Authors may also opt for Open Access publication (at an additional cost) and have their paper fully accessible to all as soon as it is published online.
