There is always a problem with reviewing a book like this. The ideal review would take place only after using the book in the classroom for a couple of years. The reviewer could then pass on the most important information, namely, how well it worked pedagogically. On the other hand, one also wants to review a book hot off the press, because, among other things, this brings the book to the attention of teachers who could then try it out. Obviously, there is no perfect resolution to this little dilemma. This review will be based on my impression of the book without having an opportunity to use it in class.
