Twenty–three patients with varying musculoskeletal and neurological disabilities received cryotherapy either to alleviate pain, to increase range of motion, or to decrease spasticity or spasm. The results of this treatment indicated that cryotherapy may be a beneficial adjunct to the total physical therapy program.
