Review of Finance Best Paper Prizes

There are two prizes awarded for papers published in Review of Finance : the Pagano and Zechner Prize and the Spängler IQAM Prize. The winning papers are chosen by the Associate Editors and the Co-Editors of the journal.

Spängler IQAM Prize

The Spängler IQAM Prize in Financial Economics - Review of Finance Best Paper Prize is awarded to the best paper published in the journal within the previous 4 issues.

The winning paper for 2015 was:

Do Firms Buy Their Stock at Bargain Prices? Evidence from Actual Stock Repurchase Disclosures by Azi Ben-Rephael, Jacob Oded and Avi Wohl.

Pagano and Zechner Prize

The Pagano and Zechner Prize was awarded at the 2015 European Finance Association meeting in Vienna, Austria to the best non-investments paper published in Review of Finance .

The winning paper for 2015 was:

Predatory Short Selling by Markus K. Brunnermeier and Martin Oehmke.

The winning papers for 2014 were:

“The Speed of Information Revelation and Eventual Price Quality in Markets with Insiders: Comparing Two Theories” by Peter Bossaerts, Cary Frydman, and John Ledyard.

“Are Small Businesses Worthy of Financial Aid? Evidence from a French Targeted Credit Program” by Laurent Bach.
