Abstract

    A modification of the Sabin-Feldman test using Sarcocystis tenella spores is described.

  • (2)

    The results indicate that S. tenella spores can be used for the diagnosis of infections with both Toxoplasma and Sarcocystis: the “cytoplasm-modifying antibody” produced by Toxoplasma has been shown to react with S. tenella spores.
